About Us
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is popular becuase of its many potentials - all weather, pan global coverage, accuracy, small form factor and low cost. Currently GPS and GLONASS are fully operational and GALILEO, BEIDOU, QZNSS and IRNSS/ NavIC are very fast emerging systems.
Our group is from The Department of Physics, The University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India (23 deg 15.2755' N, 087 deg 50.8071 E). We are engaged in R&D activities on GNSS basically focussed on:
- Exploring multi-GNSS environment from India
- Studies on NavIC
- Exploring cost-effective, compact GNSS Modules
- Development of low-cost GNSS-based applications
- Use of Android based handheld Devices
We have completed several projects sponsored by Govt. of India agencies and a member of Muti GNSS Asia
